I've been hearing rumors about this, I was wondering if anyone else has too.

Apparently Frog mentioned that we shouldn't blow through our fireworks too quickly. Apparently someone else saw files in the dat that may point to a double party animal point weekend. Guild Wars 3rd birthday is also coming up.

Anyone heard any of this as well?

There has never been double drunk/sugar though.. or has there? If not it will probably include all 3...

I don't think it'd be safe to assume that at all. Those two titles have side benefits (sugar rush and the drunken skills) to a small extent. Party Animal doesn't, so it'd make more sense that they add some incentive to it.

Look at the dev chat log, frog said something was coming up but he asked if 'weekend' was involved and was specfically told no to that.

Well I don't wanna be negative from the festival again, we've already been through that. But it seems like the festival has taught us to not enjoy things or give them away, but instead to save them up to avoid a surprise disappointment. I'll be saving up my festival items rather than have any kind of fun with them because of the possibility of double points.

Nah. What wee need is an unlimited source for items for the title... like...
- Firework crates as prices for GvG matches.
- Being able to craft Firework crates in Factions owned outposts (talking to the Fireworks guy)
- Adding the Firework crates to the list of the Victory Token rewards and the Zaishen chest.
- Maguuma merchants selling a new Fx item for 400g (bouquet of flowers).
- Canthan merchants selling a new Party item for 400g (streamer).
- Nightfall collector (in the desolation) that gives a new animation item in exchange for 5 mummy wrappings (Mini mummy coffer).

Yup. That would do. Easy the way to obtain them, but still require to obtain them.

There's no way Anet would double everyone's points/halve the amount needed. Think about the people who already have 10000 sweet tooth points. Assuming they paid 100g each, Anet just screwed them over really badly (think 500k+)

In a way that did happen when some people made it to Savior of the Kurzicks title, THEN Anet made the points double on your title track when you donate them to your guild.

would be nice if there were more ways to get the party items....and the dumb crates...no guild hall, no good. (though I can probably make a few plat selling them!)

Interesting. My guess is an effect of the new cupcake-like items that will be dropping for the GW anniversary weekend. Maybe?

Has more of a end of event temporary effect, feel to it no? Like being turned into rats during the new year's. Maybe once the Leprechauns are drunk enough, they'll get everyone into a partying mood with the skill/blessing. And as others have mentioned, there's no way this will be permanent.

If that is true, probably it was what the Frog was talking about when it told people to 'save some fireworks'.
